well time just keeps speeding up. i'll be really sad when christmas is over, and all the lights and trees go away. the cheery spirit of winter eventually just fades into cold.
i'm about to start finals. tomorrow morning i have a test that my teacher was really, really, really nice to let me re-schedule and take. then i have to take a quiz for my advertising class (i was gone that class period), study some more, and then take my media writing final.
i still also have to move margaret's things from salt lake, have lunch with my friend hannah, figure out how i'm going to get to the airport, take my sociology final, my advertising final, and also possibly my benchmark final.
and then i'll pack up, kiss my roommates goodbye, and head to dallas. where i will rest my little head for one night, gorge myself on mi cocina and potbelly, and then hop on the flight to paris (do you know how exciting it is to see DFW to CDG on your american airlines line-up?), sleep a ton, and then greet my mom, brother, and sister in my second home. the more i think about the beautiful buildings, the seine, the grey sky, the music, the blood and life that pumps through that city, i just about pass out because all the oxygen that should have gone to my head was expelled in deep breaths of excitement.
the problem is what's going to happen when i have to come back to school.

Pearl Harbor
I doubt today in my life in 2010 will be a day to live in infamy but you never know. maybe something epic will happen. hopefully nothing to the scale of pearl harbor, but knowing my life, you never know.
there really isn't much to update other than the fact that "say yes to the dress" and "the x-files" have been consuming my life. this is a weird combination of shows and leads to even weirder dreams. like, i'll dream about cute puppies and then there will be guns and shooting and its crazy. x-files also makes sleeping kind of scary so i should probably stop watching it right before bed.
but really, say yes to the dress makes me want to get married. more like say yes to me getting depressed.
So it's december 7th. There are only a few more days of classes and then its time to take finals. I've been pushing this out of my mind because i don't want it to happen. i mean, i know it will, but i keep choosing to focus on the fact that i'll be flying to paris in ten days and i'll be flying home in nine days and that means that in just a little amount of time it will all be over.
tomorrow is this presentation for my advertising class. have i mentioned i hate presentations? but once it's over i'm sure we'll all feel great.
someday maybe i'll tell the story about the albanians and the 830 am and the sleeping but today is not that day.

not much tiiime
i don't have much time to post. yes its only 1130, what of it? i'm running on so little sleep and i still have so much to do. before class tomorrow morning i need to write a one page paper on globalization. not too hard to do, but i still have to crank it out and print it by tomorrow morning... downside. other things i have to do: advertising project. it's almost done, but it's been a long time coming and super intense work. then its finals week and then i fly home!!! and then to paris.
i am so excited to go back to paris i could cry. i wish i were leaving tomorrow. i can't believe i have to wait 15 more days until i can fly home. bah! i also need to take an advertising test that is used in conjunction with the application to the program. phew... here's hoping!
other things going on. they played "the dog days are over on glee." now everyone and their dog (no pun intended, but i'll take it) is listening to that song. bummer times. it was so personal to me and now i'll probably hear it all the time. oh well, such is life.
in other news! my friend ANNA SIMON has flown into utah. she's staying in salt lake city for today and has interviews tomorrow. i, of course, am going to drive up there to visit her. i'm so excited. anna is my biffy. i've probably confided in her more this semester than to anyone else (who isn't at school with me). she's a gem. she's level headed, absolutely gorgeous, and insanely smart. she's also hilarious. she and i did fencing together and she is a very dear friend to me. so seeing her will be crazy and fun. even if its just for four hours.
i need to find a way to do another study abroad in europe. don't call me crazy, just find a way to make it happen! i miss it so much these days.
also felt super new york funky fresh yesterday carrying a pile of magazines in one arm and clutching my decaf pumpkin spice latte as i made a dash through the snow to the front door. someday i will actually live in new york and actually be able to afford said lattes. also i want a job there. can i please just get a job in advertising nooooow?
ok fine. i'll finish school first.
